In-home care after a fall.
A fall is rarely just a fall. It is a signal, and the weeks after are when a second one is most likely. A Texas-licensed Registered Nurse checks the injury, assesses balance and gait, walks the home for hazards, and builds the plan that keeps it from happening again.
What this covers
- Injury and vitals check — Assessment of the injury, vital signs, and any warning signs that need a physician's eyes.
- Gait and balance — A look at how steady the walking is, and what is driving the instability.
- Home-safety review — A walk-through for rugs, lighting, bathroom grab-bars, and the real hazards in the home.
- Recovery plan — A plan to rebuild strength and confidence, coordinated with primary care.
What the post-fall visit covers
The nurse assesses the injury and takes vitals, reviews how the fall happened, checks gait and balance, and reviews the medication list for anything that causes dizziness or low blood pressure. You get a written summary of findings and the specific changes that would reduce the risk of another fall.
The home-safety walk-through
Kando walks the home the way your family member actually moves through it: the path from bed to bathroom at night, the stairs, the rugs, the lighting, the shower. You get a prioritized list of concrete fixes, from grab-bars to a nightlight, rather than a generic checklist.
Coordinating with primary care
Findings that need a physician, a suspected fracture, a medication that should be reviewed, a blood-pressure pattern, are relayed to the primary care office directly. Kando does not diagnose; the nurse assesses, documents, and escalates to the right clinician.

Frequently asked questions
Do you serve my city?
Kando serves Frisco, Little Elm, Plano, McKinney, Allen, Prosper, Celina, The Colony, Denton, Dallas, and Arlington, plus the wider North Texas area. If you are not sure whether we reach you, call or text and we will tell you honestly.
How quickly can someone come after a fall?
Same-week visits are routine and same-day is often possible. If there is any sign of a head injury, a suspected fracture, or confusion, seek medical care first, then call us to set up the recovery and prevention plan.
Do you provide the home-safety recommendations in writing?
Yes. You get a written summary of the assessment and a prioritized list of specific fixes for that home, which is what families use to actually make the changes.
Do you take HSA or FSA?
Kando does not bill insurance directly. HSA and FSA funds are accepted for eligible care, and superbills are provided on request so you can self-submit for possible reimbursement.
