What a wound-care visit includes
The nurse removes the old dressing, cleans and assesses the wound, measures it so progress is tracked visit to visit, applies the appropriate dressing with sterile single-use supplies, and documents the findings. Drains and new ostomies are managed the same way. All waste and sharps leave with her.
Setting the right visit schedule
Frequency depends on the wound: some need daily changes at first, many settle into two or three visits a week, and a stable wound may need only a weekly check. Kando sets the cadence with your wound clinic or surgeon and adjusts as the wound improves, so you are not paying for visits you no longer need.
Working alongside your wound clinic
Kando coordinates with your wound clinic or surgeon under physician-supervised protocols rather than replacing them. If a wound is not progressing, the nurse flags it early and routes you back to the specialist with documented measurements, which is far more useful than a description from memory.

Delivered across Frisco, Little Elm, Plano, McKinney, Allen and North Texas. Kando is private-pay. Hourly, daily, and retainer rates are quoted per family after a free 20-minute consultation. HSA and FSA funds are accepted, and superbills are provided on request for self-submitted reimbursement.

Do you bring the dressing supplies?
Yes. Kando brings sterile single-use supplies for the visit and removes all waste and sharps before leaving. If your wound needs a specialty dressing prescribed by a clinic, we will coordinate so the right product is on hand.
